2. Description:
"Shades of Love" is an exploration of love through music by composers from around the world, such as Italian composer Giovanni Sollima, Taiwanese composer BEN, Chia-Fu YU, Dutch composer Chiel Meijering, and Danish composer Rune Tonsgaard Sorensen.
3. Fun fact:
You might also hear some short love stories from Taiwan, which is a small island country in the pacific ocean!
4. What is special about this program?
The special thing about this program is that it includes several important elements about February that we should all be aware of:
1) Valentine's Day - you will experience all kinds of LOVE through music by different composers around the world.
2) The Lunar New Year celebration - you will hear some traditional Taiwanese folk songs. Taiwan is made of people from several different ethnicities, including the dominant Chinese heritage.
3) Black History Month in February - we included one very lovely and fun song by a famous African American musician. We promise that you will love it.

The composers from this program come from various cultural backgrounds, including Nubian, Russian, Argentinian, Italian, Austrian, Indian, and middle eastern cultural/musical influences. You will be able to have a glimpse into their culture and artistic identity through their music.
