"Yi-Chun & Friends"
Chamber concert featured works by Dvorak, Dohnanyi, and Bartok!
When wonderful musicians use music to talk to each other, it is the best way for the listeners to partake the musical conversations they are having. Luckily, Yi-Chun has friends- quite wonderful musician friends- whom she will have fun chatting with on stage tonight at the Kresge Hall at the Augustana University!
Who are the amazing musician friends she is so lucky to have? There is Elizabeth York, St. Paul based violinist/violist who not only plays with the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra, but also teaches at the North Dakota State University! She and Yi-Chun have so much in common in their musical careers as they are both violinists and violists with experiences of the early music world while always seeking adventurous music projects and collaborations!
The one and only cellist on the program tonight is Jia Cao. She is the current cello principal in the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra.
