"The Journey to Juneteenth; How did we get here? Where do we go from here" is a performance telling stories of Juneteenth through music, spoken word, and dance. 

Performers: Lawrence Diggs (poet/writer), William Cedeño Torres (flute), Ioana Galu (violin), Yi-Chun Lin (viola), Robbie Erhard (cello), Dana LeVan (percussion), Jenna Skadsen (dance), Britney Thong Sing Yi (dance), and Lily Holtman (dance).

 🌧If there is inclement weather, the event will be moved to the auditorium in the lower level of the museum. There will be seats already set up in the auditorium.  

🧺 Bring your sunhat, picnic, chair, blanket - and dancing shoes!!! The Curious Music Collective invites you to experience American storytelling through poetry, music, and dance, with “A Journey to Juneteenth: How did we get here? Where do we go from here?”   

🍿 We’ll have a no-host bar, snacks for purchase, yard games and plenty of space for fun on the Campus Green while you enjoy the performance. 

🚘 Free parking is available in the parking lots south and west of the museum, no need for permits or passes after 4 pm. Come early to explore the South Dakota Art Museum, which will stay open on performance nights until 7:30.  

📆 Plan to attend all Anderson Plaza Summer Performances: Tuesdays in June and July at 6 pm.
